Angie Mikulich is the Office Manager and Closing Agent in the Ely office of Northeast Title Company. She has been a part of the company’s family since 2005. Angie’s love of numbers and people made the choice to be a Closing Agent an easy one.

“I enjoy the closing process from the beginning of a file until the buyer is in their new home and after. I have met so many wonderful people over the years. I really enjoy being a part of their journey to a new home, cabin or selling a home they have been in for many years. Being a licensed closing agent has been very rewarding. I am able to live in a beautiful town and enjoy time with my husband.”

During her free time, Angie loves doting on her granddaughter. She loves her camping and fishing trips with family and friends.

Attorney Rae R. Bentz practices in the areas of real estate, family law, criminal law, probate, estate planning, guardianship, and personal injury. Rae is certified by the Minnesota State Bar Association as a Real Property Law Specialist. He holds more than 20 years of experience in residential and commercial real estate transactions.

Rae understands the importance of a real estate transaction to an individual, as it is often one of the biggest investments a person makes. He also recognizes that probate can be an emotional process, as it involves the loss of a loved one, estate planning, family and criminal matters and a great deal of trust between the attorney and client.

Rae represents individuals during some of their most critical and often stressful life transitions. He also provides successful and aggressive criminal defense services. With over 20 years of criminal defense experience and 13 years of prosecution experience, Rae thoroughly understands Minnesota’s criminal procedures.

Liz Hubbard has been a part of the Northeast Title Company family since March 2014. She started out as a closing assistant, but her drive and motivation to learn new tasks quickly led her on the path to becoming a closing agent. She soon discovered her knack for legal research and investigation and now assists in Title Searches and Exams. Whether it’s hunting and fishing or hiking, kayaking, and snowshoeing, Liz loves the outdoors. In her spare time you can usually find her on the lake or in the woods with her husband, Josh and their two chocolate labs, Winnie and Cub.

Shonna Kowarsch is a closing agent in our Ely office. She started her journey with Northeast Title in December of 2016 as an administrative assistant. Her attention to detail and friendly, charismatic personality makes her an asset to our Northeast Title team. Shonna enjoys learning and working through the challenges of each new transaction.

In her free time, Shonna enjoys almost all outdoor activities, but especially kayaking, hiking, and camping with her loveable dogs, Zoey and Zelda. She loves to spoil and spend time with her 3 young nephews. Shonna has a passion for sloths, Harry Potter, diy home improvement projects, and desires to visit every national park in the U.S.

Jodee Micheletti was born and raised in Northern Minnesota and now lives in Embarrass, MN with her husband and three children. Embarrass is centrally located between her Northeast Title Company offices in Ely and Virginia.

Right after college Jodee began her career in real estate by working for different title companies located on the Range. She also spent time as manager of a real estate office in Ely. Working in a real estate office allowed Jodee to gain a great deal of experience learning all aspects of the industry. She became owner of Northeast Title Company in April 2004. Within three years she had tripled the size of the company by opening a location in Virginia in 2005 and a Cook office shortly thereafter in 2006.

For over 20 years, Jodee has worked in real estate and she truly enjoys what she does. As a highly motivated and ambitious person, she loves the challenges her position presents to her. Real estate is her passion, and she is dedicated to giving her employees an enjoyable and rewarding work environment. She is determined to provide quality customer service as well as support her local communities.

Jodee loves the outdoors as well as camping, fishing, hunting and spending quality time with friends and family. She is passionate about music and poetry and spending time engulfed in a good book.

Sharrie joined the Northeast Title Company Team August of 2013. She loves data entry and assisting coworkers in making the title work process go smoothly. In her spare time she is a health and wellness coach and loves watching her clients gain so much confidence in themselves through the programs she coaches.  Sharrie also enjoys many outdoor activities such as camping, hunting, fishing, swimming, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and spending as much time as can with friends, family and spoiling her grandchildren every chance she can get. She loves traveling, crocheting, stamping homemade cards. Her moto is “Life is to short not to enjoy every moment of it!”

Dennise was born in Duluth and is currently living in Hoyt Lakes with her husband Skip. Dennise started working at Northeast Title in May of 2012 and loves working behind the scenes in the recording department to ensure the completion of all files after closing. She also works in the billing department. Dennise loves spending time with her children, Daron and Jonathan, along with her two grandchildren, Alexa and Jordyn. In her free time you can find her enjoying some fishing, camping, traveling, or just being outdoors soaking up the sun.

Nathan Houdek started at Northeast Title Company’s Ely office as an Office Assistant in 2004. He is now the Title Examiner for the Ely office and Virginia office and has helped the company get to where it is today.

Originally born in Northern Minnesota, Nathan has lived in many places throughout Minnesota, (not necessarily by choice), and now resides in Mountain Iron, MN with his beautiful wife and two wonderful children.

In the summer, Nathan enjoys camping with his family and friends and can usually be found playing his guitar by the campfire. He also loves attending concerts and festivals and has been known to sing a karaoke song or two.

Merella joined the Northeast Title team in March of 2018.  She has been a legal assistant for 30 years, working in areas of real estate, estate planning, corporate law, and collections throughout her career.  Merella found that she was born to work in real estate.  She enjoys the history of real estate, including research of land records, clearing title issues, along with conducting closings, and working with Buyers and Sellers to successfully complete real estate transactions. 

Merella has been a life-long resident of the Iron Range.  She and her husband live South of Eveleth and have been married for 41 years.  Merella’s oldest daughter, husband and 2 granddaughters live in the twin cities area.  Her daughter, Amber, lives next door and Merella enjoys the constant chaos and fun her 6 grandchildren provide on a daily basis!  Her youngest daughter, Ailie, also works at Northeast Title and Merella enjoys being able to work side by side with her.  In addition to her family, Merella loves road trip vacations, hiking in the woods, fishing, camping, swimming, pontoon cruising, cooking and baking.

Ellen has been welcomed into the Northeast Title family as an Administrative Assistant. After leaving Minnesota for a while, Ellen decided to come back to her hometown where she now resides with her husband Jake and daughter Suzie. Ellen is a jack of all trades and is very talented in many different areas, but has finally found her forever “home” here at Northeast Title. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors doing various activities and spending time with her family/friends. She also really enjoys a good nap, which doesn’t happen often considering she has a very energetic 3 year old.

Ailie joined Northeast Title in 2020 with no prior real estate background, but ended up being a natural in the industry! She graduated from Bemidji State University in 2021, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Accounting and Project Management. Ailie has enjoyed every minute of her journey here at Northeast Title, she always comes to work happy and ready to learn more. Ailie is very close to her family and decided to settle down in the area so that she isn’t too far from “home”. In her free time, Ailie enjoys, reading, cooking, and the outdoors – including – any type of fishing, hunting, hiking, and kayaking. She likes to keep her life busy and is always ready for a new adventure.

Andrea Bonach has lived on the Iron Range for most of her life and enjoys fishing, bird hunting, 4- wheeling and really anything to do with the outdoors. Her oldest son Cole graduated from Mesabi East in 2021 and Aiden, age 17 will graduate in the year 2023. She misses the busy days with her boys watching hockey, football, baseball and basketball. Andrea is currently learning several positions and loves learning and helping out in all areas. She is currently really enjoying working on the construction loans and assisting with closings. She hopes to be a Closer one day and has found the right fit with Northeast Title Company!
